  • The Pink Book: The Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) Harmonised edition is the FIDIC Red Book incorporating amendments from leading world banks and designed for use on projects financed by those banks (3rd edition, 2010) (although it has been reported in 2017 that it will be withdrawn).
  • The Blue-Green (or turquoise) Book: The Conditions of Contract for Dredging and Reclamation Works contains specific provisions appropriate for dredging projects (and which can also be adapted so that it is suitable for contracts that include, or wholly comprise, contractor-designed works) (2nd edition, 2016).
  • The Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority General Conditions of Contract, introduced for construction of projects undertaken in Abu Dhabi on behalf of Public Entities (2007).
  • The Gold Book: the Design-Build Operate (DBO) form of contract which includes design, construction, operation and maintenance of plant in one contract. It assumes a 'green-field' Design-Build-Operate project with a 20 year operation period (1st edition, 2008) – the related Guide contains guidelines on changes necessary to cover a ‘brown-field’ arrangement.
  • The Conditions of Subcontract for Construction for Building and Engineering Works designed by the Employer for use with the new Red Book (1st edition, 1999) and Pink Book (1st edition, 2011).
  • The Purple Book: a Model Representative Agreement for use where a consultant is appointing a 2nd consultant as a local representative outside the consultant’s usual geographical operational area (1st edition, 2013).
  • The White Book: a form of consultancy agreement where consultant is to be appointed by employer or another consultant (5th edition, 2017).
  • Sub-Consultancy Agreement: intended to be used where a consultant appointed under the White Book wants to sub-contract part of the services (2nd edition, 2017).
  • Model Joint Venture (Consortium) Agreement: intended to be used where an unincorporated joint venture acts as a consultant under the White Book (2nd edition, 2017).

Both the 1st and 2nd editions of the Red, Yellow and Silver Books areas mentioned above as, following publication of the 2nd editions in December 2017, the 1st editions remain on sale. Given the complexity of the new 2nd editions it has been reported that FIDIC has acknowledged that users wishing to continue with a simpler, shorter form of contract should consider continuing to use the 1st editions and it is likely that the 1st editions will continue to be widely used in the market (so therefore this section still includes a summary and commentary on the pre- 2017 versions).
