The RICS Dispute Resolution Service offers a service with an alternative method for resolving dilapidations disputes. The parties may, by agreement, apply to RICS for the appointment of an arbitrator or independent expert who has passed the rigorous training and assessment requirements of RICS to enable them to fulfil this role.
