Value of BIM-enabled FM

Among the main drivers for using BIM in FM is improving handover processes. Data and information collected through a BIM process during the building life cycle will reduce the cost and the time required to collect and build FM systems, even with current interoperability challenges. Additionally, BIM will eliminate the need to duplicate information in downstream FM systems.
