Environmental monitoring and emission of pollutants in buildings

Monitoring health, comfort and productivity in buildings

Allergy in the workplace environment is a growing concern to employers. It is a complex issue that requires a multidisciplinary integrated approach. Exposure to indoor allergens is a risk factor for the development of allergic reactions and the incidence of the problem is increasing at an alarming rate.

This reflects on the health, comfort and productivity of the occupants and also increases the rate of sickness at work places. This section discusses monitoring allergic reactions in buildings, their signs and symptoms, types of allergies, indoor allergens and their management.
